Entertainment Publications

UPDATE 7/2/2014

On March 21, 2013, Raisner Roupinian LLP filed suit against Entertainment Publications, LLC, a/k/a Entertainment Promotions, a/k/a Entertainment.Com, MH Investors United, LLC, MH Private Equity Fund, LLC, MH-EPI Holdings LLC, MH Investors Entertainment LLC, seeking to recover 60 days wages and benefits for former employees under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (“WARN”) Act. We contend Entertainment Publications ordered mass layoffs on or about March 12, 2013 without providing its employees with advance written notice.

On July 1, 2014, the case was certified as a class action, and notice of the case will be mailed out shortly to class members.

Generally, the WARN Act requires companies to provide their employees with 60 days written notice in advance of a mass layoff or plant closing. In the absence of such notice, employers may be liable to each affected employee for 60 days wages and benefits.
